Mayor, Police Chief To Take Part In Highland Park Community Walk

Mayor Andy Berke and Police Chief Fred Fletcher will join the Highland Park neighborhood and members of the police department tonight for the summer’s first Community Walk to promote and encourage public safety.

City officials said, "The Highland Park Neighborhood Association (HPNA) recognizes the level of gun violence over the last week, and in the Highland Park Neighborhood, and believes Community Walks are a great way to build stronger, safer neighborhoods."

The walk will start today (Monday) at 5:30 p.m.

at Tatum Park, located at Union and Holly St.
