Billy J. Holt, 76, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, July 25, 2014 at his home.

He was a son of the late Fred M. and Irene Murray Holt and was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Billy was of the Presbyterian faith and was retired from Bailey Equipment Company with 26 years of service. 

Survivors include his wife, Martha Holt; two sons, Michael (Mary Ann) Holt, Carmel, Maine; Richie (Tracey) Clayton; Chattanooga; two daughters, Terri (Broderick) Smith, Trenton, Ga.; Gayla Auerswald, East Ridge; two brothers, Fred Holt, Jr.; Johnny L. Cadreau; sister, Anita Long, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Roger DeHart officiating. Interment will be in National Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 4–8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, and from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 519 E. 4th Street, Chattanooga, Tn. 37403.
