Shane Daughetee Memorial Sign Dedication Is Thursday

Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger will host the dedication ceremony for the Shane M. Daughetee Memorial Highway Sign on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. 

The sign is a memorial to Shane Daughetee the volunteer firefighter who lost his life on Jan. 26, 2007, while battling a house fire. 

The section of Highway 58 dedicated to the former firefighter of the year will extend from Harrison Bay Road north to Mahan Gap Road. 

Parking for the dedication ceremony will be at the Wolftever Creek Boat Ramp.
