Signal Mountain DYB All-Stars are 2-1 at State

The Signal Mountain Dixie Youth Baseball 8-year-old Americans had their hitting shoes on Friday night, defeating Crockett County, 24-9 in a consolation game in the DYB AA (7-8-yr-olds) state tournament in Kingston.

SM (2-1) faces Nashville Parkwood today at 1 p.m. with the wnner facing the Savannah-Sweetwater loser at 4 p.m.

Red Bank was 0-2 in the state tourney, falling to Dickson County, 18-1, and Chester Co.,9-8.

AAA District 6: The two Signal Mountain teams play today for the district title. Both teams have qualified for the 9-10-yr-old state tournament, July 18-23, in Springfield.
