An eight-story downtown office tower has been sold to Lamp Post Properties.

One Central Plaza, a triangular building at the corner of Georgia Avenue, Cherry and MLK Boulevard, was sold by the Jim Berry Company for $3.5 million.

The Lamp Post Group is a business incubator that now operates nearby at the Loveman's Building.

The Lamp Post Group currently has 150 employees sharing 31,000 square feet of office space, according to its website.

It also offers 10 subsidized apartments for employees at the current location.

One Central Plaza has an adjacent parking lot.

Jim Berry, who made a fortune with Republic Parking, died last November.
