Thomas Victor “Dickie” Stone, 70, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, August 18, 2014.  

A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was the former owner of Stone Brothers Hardware.  He was a member of the Silverdale Baptist Church and was a Vietnam War Veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force.  

He was the son of the late Victor S. and Hazel Stone and was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ray Stone.  

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Victor Stone, Chattanooga, and David Kelly Stone, Knoxville; sister and brother-in-law, Priscilla and Steve George, Chattanooga.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga at hospiceofchattanooga.org or to the Silverdale Baptist Church, 7236 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.  

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Tony Walliser officiating.  Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.  

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, before the service at the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 8214 East Brainerd Road.
