Michael Dewayne Price has been given a two-year prison term for his part in a carjacking.

Price, 40, appeared before Criminal Court Judge Rebecca Stern and was allowed to plead to the lesser charge of theft over $1,000.

Price was arrested along with Jasmine Rogers for taking a 1999 Ford Explorer at knife point.

Police said Hattie Norwood, 53, gave the pair a ride from Buhler's Market downtown to the 4900 block of Highway 58.

Price went into a bank and then allegedly pulled a knife on Ms.

Norwood and put it to her neck. She was then told to get out of the vehicle.

Price and Ms. Rogers were located in the 1700 block of Tunnel Blvd. after their identities were learned from personnel at Buehler's.
