Section Of Riverwalk Closed For Repairs

  • Tuesday, August 5, 2014

The Hamilton County Parks and Recreation Department has announced that the Riverwalk from the Chickamauga Dam to the Fry Center will be closed for repairs for approximately two weeks starting today. A drain pipe that runs from the Chattanooga State  campus under the Riverwalk to the  Tennessee River has collapsed and will have to be dug up and replaced. In order to complete this project, work crews will have to dig up a section of the Riverwalk  and then replace it once the pipe has been installed.
