James F. Blackwell, 84, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 in a local hospital.
He was retired from the United States Air Force. He was of the protestant faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Gussie Rymer Blackwell; wife, Natalie Blackwell; and two brothers, Sam Blackwell and Troy Blackwell.
Survivors include his sister, Carolyn Garrett and husband, Luke of Cleveland; special friend, Jean Anderson of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The service will conclude with full military honors.
His family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, September 1 at Fike Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
