Gilbert Roland Sheldon Jr, 66, of Athens, TN, passed away on August 29, 2014 at a hospital surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert R. Sheldon Sr.; mother, Iva Lee Sheldon; and brothers, Dale and Windell Sheldon.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Sheldon of Athens, TN, Tracy Sheldon of Athens, TN; daughters and spouses, Helen and Rickey Gresham of Decatur, TN, Pansy and Ronnie Crisp from Cleveland and Rolanda and William Sewell of Cleveland; sons and spouses, William and Mary Sheldon of Ft. Carson, CO and Matthew and Alleynea Sheldon of Old Fort, TN; brothers, Tim and Mary Sheldon of Old Fort, TN and Marty and Pam Sheldon of Virginia; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
A service will be held on Sunday, September 14, at 3 p.m. at Companion Funeral and Cremation Service located at 2415 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
