Friendship Central Hosts Preach-A-Thon In Memory Of 2014 Homicide Victims

  • Wednesday, September 17, 2014

Pastor Ezra Maize and Friendship Central Community Church, located at 7 Tuxedo Avenue, Chattanooga, will be hosting a 24 hour Preach-a-Thon beginning  Saturday, October 4, at 11 a.m. and ending on Sunday, October 5 at 12 p.m.  The 24 Hr. Preach-a Thon will be dedicated to and will highlight the names of each of the 24 victims who lost their lives from January 1 of this year to the present due to violence.

The parents, family members and friends are invited to attend.  The name of one person will be recognized and highlighted each hour during the 24 Hour Preach-a-Thon.  Pastor Maize feels the memory of these victims should not be forgotten and that awareness of the problem of violence and to the healing of the communities should be an ongoing effort.

Several choirs, soloists, and groups have been asked to join in this occasion.  The parents and family members are invited to attend and share with the audience the memory of their loved one.  Many pastors, city officials and law enforcement personnel have been asked to participate in this event of “Holistic Healing” of the communities.

Pastor Maize feels we must be about our Father’s business to bring balance and peace back to our city.  He feels that it is imperative that the leaders of the city must come together in ways to change the hearts and mind of the people and embrace the youth of the city.

The public is cordially invited to attend.
