Ralph Bryan Jackson, 83, of Hixson, died on Monday, September 1, 2014 in a local hospital. 

A native of Chattanooga, he was the son of the late Arthur and Jennie V. Jackson. 

Mr. Jackson was retired from the U.S. Air Force. Following his retirement he began working for DuPont, and later with TVA. 

He was a member of SGI International. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Earl Jackson and sister, Anna Bea Chapman. 

Survivors include his wife, Nobuko Jackson of Hixson; daughter, Johanna (Joe) Suter of Cleveland; brother, Bobby (Brenda) Jackson of Chattanooga Valley; sister, Betty Cornelius of East Ridge; granddaughter, Mandy Jones; great-granddaughter, Mathilda Mae Jones, both of Rossville; several nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
