5 Bids Received For Cleveland High School Gym Project; Low Bid Is $11,245,000

Five different companies have issued bids for the Cleveland High School gymnasium project, with bids starting at $11,245,000.

The low bid was by Tri-Con, Inc., based out of Cleveland.

The next lowest bid was by J&J Contractors, Inc., a company based out of Chattanooga. Its bid was $11,250,000.

Next was Knoxville company Rentenbach Constructors, Inc. with a bid of $11,558,000.

Another Knoxville company, Merit Construction, Inc., put in a bid for $11,850,000.

The last bid was from Rouse Construction Company, based out of Concord. Its bid was for $11,933,000.

The project will be contracted for 420 days.

A special meeting has been scheduled for next Wednesday for the Cleveland City School Board to consider the bids.
