Geren, Barbara June (Charleston)

Barbara June Geren, 78, of Charleston, TN, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Life Care Center of Cleveland, TN. 

She was born on June 18, 1936 to the late Earl Carter and Rosabel Rose.  Barbara loved to sing and was a very hardworking and giving individual that loved helping those in need.  She never held a grudge and was always forgiving.  Above all things, she loved her family and was a very Godly woman. 

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by two sons, Edward Keith Millaway Jr. and Heath Millaway; and several brothers and sisters. 

She is survived by one son, Alan Millaway; daughter, Patricia Millaway; six grandchildren, Crystal Smith, Dustin Millaway, William Millaway, Tabitha Smith, Amber Millaway and Luke Millaway; four great-grandchildren; and several other extended family members and friends. 

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, at Companion Funeral and Cremation Service located at 2415 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Pastor David Evans officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Johnson Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 26.

Companion Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
