Donald Lee “Don” Rains, 78, of Hixson, died on Saturday, September 27, 2014.
He had lived in Hixson most of his life and was the owner of Don’s Meat Market. Don was a member of Red Bank Lodge F&AM #717.
Survivors include his wife, Sally Rains; daughter, Barbara Gale Tibbals; son, Donald Anthony Rains; sister, Lillian Warren; grandchildren, Leslie Nicole Williams, Amanda Tibbals, Donald William Rains and Josh Yarbrough; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, with a visitation following.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or The Shrine Hospital or Burn Unit.
