William E. “Bill” Burkhart, 72, of Hixson, died on Saturday, September 6, 2014 in Chattanooga.
He was born May 4, 1942, in Hamilton County, to the late Herman H. and Mary Sue Burkhart.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Geraldine Burkhart. Mr. Burkhart was a graduate of Hixson High School, a Tennessee National Guard veteran and was the owner and operator of Burkhart Electric.
Survivors include a brother, Ronnie Burkhart and his wife, Diane.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 6-9 p.m..
