East Ridge ATM Robbery Suspects Identified And Arrested On The Same Day

  • Tuesday, September 9, 2014

East Ridge Police identified and arrested some ATM suspects on the same day.

On Monday, a victim advised the East Ridge Police Department that she had been robbed while making an ATM transaction.

The victim said at about 7 a.m. she was at the drive-through ATM at Regions Bank at 4334 Ringgold Road when she was approached by two white suspects on foot. They wore bandanas to disguise their faces, and one threatened the victim with a knife while demanding cash.

Police were able to use security camera images to observe the clothing of the suspects. An ERPD detective discovered security footage of the suspects using the ATM themselves earlier that same morning and used those images to gain information about the vehicle the suspects had driven.

That vehicle was discovered at Knights Inn in East Ridge, and ERPD tracked the occupants and suspects to a room at Crown Inn on Ringgold Road. Upon making contact with the suspects at the door to their room, one of the bandanas used was immediately observed in plain view. A search warrant for the room was obtained, and the subsequent search yielded additional evidence of the robbery.

Jarrod Roach, 23, and Lisa Philbrook, 33, were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

They are each being held on $25,000 bond, and they are scheduled to appear in East Ridge Court on Oct. 7.
