Academic Solutions Expands To Second Location

  • Tuesday, January 20, 2015

Individuals and families in the Downtown, North Shore, Signal Mountain, Red Bank and Mountain Creek areas now have a location to meet their academic challenges with Academic Solutions. Having served as an educational resource for area students and their families at the Shallowford Road office, Academic Solutions is opening a second location at 252 Signal Mountain Blvd. (top floor).

Whether a student needs subject tutoring or test prep help, tutors bring to the table decades of experience helping students who struggle academically, as well as challenging high academic achievers to more effectively perform to their full potential, said officials. Most of the tutors have a masters degree, along with experience teaching students in multiple subjects and at multiple levels, including at the college level.

The skills development program optimizes a student’s ability to absorb, process, and retrieve information more efficiently, said officials. Tracking with the agenda and curriculum of the classroom teacher, the program helps students apply Learning Optimization strategies when completing homework assignments, projects and assessments.

In addition to subject tutoring for all ability levels at any grade level, Academic Solutions provides Test Prep Clinics featuring strategies to help students optimize their performance on competitive tests, such as the ACT, SAT, ASVAB, GRE, or GMAT.  They also provide preparation assistance with the ICCEE, GED, and other standardized tests.

Additional services include Summer Advantage Tutorials, English as a Second Language, and Classroom and School Assembly Presentations.
