Shock Theatre Is Back On Feb. 7 With Episode 12 “Bride Of The Monster”

  • Wednesday, January 21, 2015

After a holiday break, the cast and crew of Shock Theatre have created an all new episode to kick off 2015. Dr. Shock and the cast will be screening a cult classic “Bride of the Monster”, by Ed Wood Jr.

In addition to “Bride of the Monster”, you can expect to see Dr. Shock, Nurse Goodbody and Dingbat play match makers. Dirge needs a girlfriend and the terrifying trio set out to find Dirge a match at “The Creature From The Love Lagoon” dating service. Dating associate Latasha Lavender (Stacy Nichols), matches Dirge with his dream girl as he begins a life of love and happiness just in time for Valentines Day.

In addition to all new Shock Theatre skits, Doc introduces a new actress in the role of Nurse Goodbody. Shock Theatre would like to welcome April Sinclair to the cast.

April Sinclair is a 36 year old actress with auburn red hair. She’s 5’1” tall with blue eyes.  She’s acted in a number of horror related films as well as commercial work. April is also a singer and a Mother of two.

Synopsis Of “Bride of the Monster”:

Bride of the Monster was a 1955 release created by perhaps the worst film maker in history, Edward D. Wood. The film stars Bela Lugosi, Tony McCoy, Loretta King and Tor Johnson.

Rumors abound about what may go on at a creepy mansion just out of town. The house is owned by Dr. Eric Vornoff who is conducting experiments to turn people into super-beings through the use of atomic power. Reporter Janet Lawton decides to look into what is going on there and its possible connection to men that have disappeared in the area. When Vornoff takes her prisoner and begins to use her as a test subject in a scientific experiment. The story reveals a brainwashed monster (Tor Johnson) and a fake blow up octopus prop, that isn’t very convincing. This is the fun in watching Ed Wood movies.
