Jumper, Olin David (Dalton)

Olin David Jumper, 80, of Dalton, GA, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Jumper; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Carroll Jumper; brother, Morgan O. Jumper; and sisters, Bernelle Shumpert, Evelyn Harmon, Helen Skipper and Patricia Jumper.

Mr. Jumper was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. He served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his sons & daughters-in-law, David & Angie Jumper and Rev. Terry & Pat Jumper, all of Dalton; sisters, Ruby Acuff of Alabama, Brenda Frye and Veta Bedenbaugh, both of South Carolina; brothers, Bobby Jumper and Wilford Jumper, both of South Carolina; grandchildren, Ryan Jumper, Hannah and Heather Jumper; great-grandchildren, Cadence and Kynlee Jumper; and nieces and nephews.

The funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jumper will be held Monday, January 26, at 2 p.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Jumper and Rev. Neil Hasty officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Blair, Bobby Wilson, James Bearden, David Wilkins, Gordon Ratcliff and Bruce Hammontree. Military Honors will be rendered by American Legion Post #112. 

The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Sunday, January 25 from 5-9 p.m.
