Police said a stolen Hummer, a wreck and a foot chase left 21-year-old Jeffrey Lamar Young facing multiple charges.

Young, of 713 N. Holly St., is charged with reckless endangerment, theft over $10,000, evading arrest, leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a revoked license and failing to have insurance.

The owner of a black 2007 Hummer said it was stolen from in front of his residence on N. Holly and driven toward Citico Avenue.

Police surrounded the area and spotted the vehicle on Lindberg Avenue. Officers said Young drove the Hummer into the back of another vehicle before running a stop sign at Lindberg and Rossville Boulevard.

He jumped out, leaving the Hummer gliding across the busy Rossville Boulevard. It eventually hit a light pole.

Young ran toward the freeway, jumping fences along the way. He was finally nabbed.
