Cleveland Fire Department Responds To 2 Fire Calls Over The Weekend

Cleveland Fire Department Engine No. 1 responded early Sunday to 465 Montgomery Ave. around 7:23 a.m. on a car fire. Upon arrival crew members found a vehicle with smoke coming from the engine compartment. The fire was quickly extinguished utilizing a hose stream. The fire was contained to the vehicle and no injuries were reported. All units returned to service at 7:45 a.m.
 
On Saturday around 7:36 a.m.
two engine companies, a ladder company, a squad and a battalion chief responded to SkyRidge Medical Center after a report an odor of smoke in the building. An investigation revealed a small electrical issue in one of the rooms. No fire was found and no damage was noted. All units returned to service at 7:52 a.m.
 
Other dispatches included an automatic alarm and three medical first responder calls.
