Man Who Had Assault Rifle At Cleveland Motel Gets 57 Months In Federal Prison

A man who was found with an assault rifle at a Cleveland, Tn., motel has been sentenced to serve 57 months in federal prison.

Terrence Rucker appeared before Judge Sandy Mattice.

Police said they found Rucker at the Baymont Inn on Paul Huff Parkway with Megan Smith. The door was first slammed shut on officers, who smelled an odor of marijuana. It was opened after several minutes.

Officers also found ammunition, digital scales, several plastic baggies, and a snorting straw with white residue on it.

Rucker had convictions for robbery in 2010 and burglary in 2006.
