Alberta Shawley Daugherty, 96, of Sweetwater, TN, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015, in a Sweetwater health care facility.
She was a member of Big Springs United Methodist Church. She was a faithful member of the United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Daugherty; parents, Paul and Katherine Shawley; and daughter, Jackie Bridges.
Survivors include her son, Keith Daugherty and wife, Wendy of Sweetwater; four grandsons; two granddaughters; seven great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, at Big Springs United Methodist Church with Pastor Ray Petty and the Reverend Janet Geitner officiating. Interment will follow in Moore’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Big Springs United Methodist Church, 1194 Hardwick Street SE, Cleveland, TN 37311.
