Freddy Rich, 60, of Summerville, Georgia, died on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Floyd Medical Center.
Mr. Rich was born Dec. 19, 1954, in Summerville, the son of J.T. Rich and the late Lucille Hunter Rich. Mr. Rich was a truck driver for Ellison’s and Son Trucking, and was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur Thomas Rich and Ray Siffles.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Charlene McDonald Rich, children, Vinita Gayle Youngblood, Jay T. Rich, Billy Joe Rich, Jack Thomas Rich, Jacob Michael McDonald, father, J.T. Rich, brother, Jack Wesley Rich, sisters, Juanita Louise Martin, Vickie Diane Cleveland, Brenda Gayle Peek, and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jamie Maples officiating with interment in the Summerville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Josh Bates, Steve Bullard, Jonathan Hayes, Tracy Kelly, Donald Hatcher, Michael Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Leon White, Phillip Nixon, Nicky Carter.
Mr. Rich will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends on Sunday, Oct. 11, from 6-8 p.m.
