Special Event Street Closures Announced

Here are upcoming street closures for special events:

Wednesday:

GPS Mission Remission Walk: Please watch for participants crossing Market Street at 1st Street; an officer will be on site directing traffic as needed. Walkers will continue on the Riverwalk and Walnut Street Bridge and back to the GPS campus. Please watch for participants in the area.

Friday:

Wild Card Block Party: from 9 p.m. until approximately 1 a.m., the south side of Patten Parkway will be closed. For more information, please visit http://startupweekcha.com/.

Saturday:

CDSS Buddy Walk: from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., event participants will be walking along Power Alley, Chestnut Street and 3rd Street.  Please watch for participants in this area.  For more information, please visit http://www.chattanoogadownsyndrome.org/#!buddy-walk/c1y3h.

Chattanooga Oktoberfest 5K: from 7 a.m. until noon, the median lane from Reggie White Boulevard to Molly Lane both north and southbound will be closed. For more information please visit http://chattanoogaoktoberfest.com/5K

Saturday – Sunday:

Reggie White from the entrance to the skate park to 19th Street will be closed for the Chattanooga Market.  For more information on their Oktoberfest weekend, please visit http://chattanoogaoktoberfest.com/

Sunday:

7 Bridges Marathon: Closures will begin at 4 a.m. on Sunday and will be open by 3 p.m., with some roads open prior after runners pass through.  Festivities and an expo will be in Coolidge Park.  For more information and the complete route, please visit http://sevenbridgesmarathon.com/

Stuarts Heights Block Party: from 1-6 p.m., Haywood Avenue between Tanglewood Drive and Folts Drive will be closed.
