Jimmy Jenkins
Jimmy Jenkins, 22, was arrested on Monday after he allegedly shot a man who was trying to retrieve his mother’s cell phone, which he claims the defendant stole.
The shooting occurred on the 900 block of Shallowford Road, and a woman told authorities that she saw a man she knew as “Jimmy” shoot the victim. She said that he lived in the apartment complex nearby and gave a physical description of the defendant.
Officers found a piece of mail addressed to the defendant in the mailbox for an apartment that was indicated to them as the defendant’s room.
The victim also said that the defendant was the one who shot him, and added that he had gone up to his door to try and get his mother’s phone back because he thought Jenkins stole it.
He said that when the defendant answered the door, they got into an argument and the defendant pulled out a small revolver and shot him in the leg.
