UTC's Stuart, Henderson Named Runners Of The Week

  • Wednesday, October 7, 2015
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga juniors Paul Stuart (Brentwood, Tenn.) and Teghan Henderson (Pickering, Ontario) were selected the Southern Conference Runners of the Week for competition last week.

Henderson took the women’s title at the JSU Foothills Invitational in Oxford, Alabama, on Saturday.
Despite dealing with rainy conditions, her time of 17:15.47 over the 5k course was good for a course record and helped the Chattanooga women to a second-place finish. This is Henderson’s fifth career runner of the week honor.

Stuart paced the Chattanooga men over the 8k course by clocking a personal-best 25:19.81. The time was good for fifth place individually and led the Mocs to a second-place finish at the meet with 84 points, behind only Auburn.

The Mocs return to competition Saturday, October 17 with the Chattanooga Front Runner Invitational to be run at the Moccasin Bend Race Course
