Lt. Eddy Chamberlain was given the Extra Mile Award by the Highland Park Neighborhood Association for going above and beyond his normal line of duty, during National Night Out.

Officials said, Lt. Chamberlain ensures that every neighborhood issue is addressed and any actions taken are reported back to the citizens.  He has welcomed this responsibility and accountability, giving Highland Park residents the personal attention they deserve and empowering them to improve their neighborhood.  Under his leadership, the entire team has embraced the community policing concept and are routinely taking every opportunity to meet people and develop strong relationships to solve problems together.
