New 9-Member Board In Place At Southside/Dodson Avenue Health Centers

A new nine-member board is in place at the Southside/Dodson Avenue Health Centers, Erlanger CEO Kevin Spiegel said Thursday.

He said, "We've made tremendous progress with the health centers during the past 60 days."

Mr. Spiegel said there five community members on the advisory board - Rosemary Geiger - vice chair; Nakeda Eady - secretary; Carol Cox, Beverly Johnson and Rose Mary Porter.

Four members of the Erlanger board are serving - Henry Hoss - chairman; Gerald Webb, Rick Youngblood and Nita Shumaker.

Mr. Spiegel said the recruitment of a new executive director. Erlanger earlier dismissed the executive director and several top staff members, while dissolving the former board.

He said Erlanger is integrating University Medical Associates with the health centers. This includes seven faculty and 30 residents. This will be operational next Monday. He said 20 patients are already scheduled.
