SoundCorps Presents TakeNote On Music Industry PR And Marketing

New Nonprofit To Help Local Music Industry Professionals Build Audiences

  • Monday, November 2, 2015

At SoundCorps' SpeakUp event in June, Chattanooga musicians stated that the most important need to help take their music careers to the next level was for a better understanding of music industry public relations, marketing and audience development. As a direct result of that conversation, SoundCorps developed TakeNote, a quarterly workshop series with a focus on professional development.

The first installment will take place Nov. 9 at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center at 6 p.m. and will feature panelists Jeremiah Lewis (Redeye Worldwide - Burger Records, Yep Roc), Kimberly Novosel (Press Management Group; Jarred Pierce, Garrett Goodwin), Max Pete (Empire Distribution - Gladys Knight, T.I., Tyga, Paul Wall) and Seth Weiner (Shimon Presents - Coachella, Hangout Music Festival).

The evening will kick off with a networking hour, then will feature a panel session moderated by SoundCorps Executive Director Stratton Tingle, followed by an audience-led Q&A.

Catering will be provided by Clyde’s on Main and Crust Pizza. Beer, wine and other refreshments will be available for purchase from the Bessie Smith Cultural Center.

The price of admission is $10 (online purchasing fees apply).  Click here for details and to reserve a ticket.
