Sarah Thomas Seaton, 97, of Rossville, died on Monday, November 23, 2015 at home residence.

She was a member of the Lakeview First Baptist Church and also attended the St. Catherine’s Drexel with her family. She drove until the age of 95, enjoyed traveling, making new friends. She loved to crochet for her family and making hats for babies. Most of all she enjoyed taking time to spend with her Lord and Savior reading her bible.

She was preceded in death by her husband Winfred Seaton, parents, George and Rena Filer Thomas, brothers, Robert Thomas, James Thomas, Karl Thomas, Hervey Thomas, children, Regina Parker Smith, Elaine Seaton Gilley, and a grandson, Kevin Gilley.

Survivors include a sister, Rena Nelle (Oliver) Cline, son-in-law Harold Gilley, grandchildren, Kent Gilley, Kirk Gilley, Regina (Steven) Pollard, five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and beloved friends also survive. 

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Lakeview First Baptist Church, St. Catherine’s Drexel, or the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
