Betty Jane Clayton, 77, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Clayton; daughter, Gail Roper; granddaughter, Tarren Conner; parents, Hershel and Pearl Banks; and two sisters.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Del and Roger Hawkins of Soddy Daisy, TN., Trish and Jim Conner of Dalton and Donna and Anthony Waters of Chatsworth; sister, Judy Gribble of Chatsworth; brother, Leon Banks of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Robbie Hawkins, Jonathan Hawkins, Destiny Conner, Dewey Conner, Nick Conner and Katerri Waters; 11 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was Sunday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Junior Clayton officiating. Burial was in Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.T
