Mary Louise Greene Allen, 90, of Trenton, Georgia, passed peacefully in the early hours of Saturday, November 28, 2015, at home in the care of her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leila and Lother Greene; her two sisters, Lois Pauline Greene and Willene Steifel; her beloved brother, Fred Greene; and her darling grandson, Samuel Guinn Allen.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, William G. "Slim" Allen; four sisters, Ione Thornberry, Inez Veal, Bobbie Joan Blevins and Wynell "Peanut" Gann; eight children, Helen Cooper (Wayne) Gibson, Vickie (Steve) Mitchell, Bill Allen, Becky (Bill) Worley, Patti Allen, Tony (Carroll) Allen, Michael Allen and Beth (Tim) McCarver; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Mrs. Allen was loved by all who knew her and who sat at her table. She was the most generous wife and selfless mother. The bravest soul.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30 in the chapel with Rev. Reece Fauscett officiating. Private graveside services will follow.
Family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30 at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, who has charge of the arrangements.
