Morris “Fuzz” Burgess, 87, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015.
Morris owned and operated Burgess Used Cars in the Center Post community. He was in the used car business for over 55 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Martha Jo Burgess; daughters and sons-in-law, Gail (Jerry) Durham of LaFayette and Maxine (Danny) Laney of Ringgold; sons and daughter-in-law, James (Judy) Burgess of Chatsworth and Kenneth Burgess of LaFayette; one sister, Arna Howard of Rossville; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel will be Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Pam Frye officiating. Interment will follow in the LaFayette Memory Gardens.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, Dec. 28 from 5-8 p.m.
