Region 3-AAA Tourney Matchups Finally Decided

District 6-AAA Yields To Weather, Goes With District Seeds

District 6-AAA decided not to play its championship and third-place games on Saturday due to lingering hazardous weather conditions on the Cumberland Plateau and with that the Region 3-AAA quarterfinal matchups have been determined.

On Monday, four quarterfinal girls games will be played.

District 5-AAA champion Bradley Central plays host to Warren County, the No. 4 team out of 6-AAA and 5-AAA runner-up Walker Valley entertains Cookeville (No. 3, 6-AAA).

Soddy-Daisy (No.

4, 5-AAA) goes to Cumberland County (No. 1, 6-AAA) and Cleveland (No. 3, 5-AAA) plays at White County (No. 3, 6-AAA).

In the boys bracket on Tuesday, 5-AAA champion Bradley Central plays at home against Cumberland County (No. 4, 6-AAA) and 5-AAA runner-up Cleveland hosts Cookeville, the No. 2 team out of 6-AAA.

Ooltewah (No. 3, 5-AAA) travels to Stone Memorial (No. 2, 6-AAA) and Soddy-Daisy (No. 4, 5-AAA) faces a stiff challenge at 6-AAA champion White County.

All eight quarterfinal games start at 7 p.m. local time.

The survivors will be at Ooltewah High School for the regional semifinals on Wednesday, with the boys and girls championships decided on Thursday.

The semifinals will be played at TSSAA-mandated times of 4, 5:30, 7 and 8:30 Eastern time.

Championship games are set for 6 p.m. for the girls and 7:30 p.m. for the boys.

Soddy-Daisy (11-18) at White County (26-3), 8 p.m.

Wednesday

Girls and boys semifinals at 4, 5:30, 7 and 8:30 p.m.

Thursday

Girls championship, 6 p.m.

Boys championship, 7:30 p.m.
