The Scenic City Half Marathon will take place from 5 a.m.-2 p.m. this Saturday. Riverfront Parkway will be closed from Chestnut Street to Aquarium Way. Please watch for westbound lane closures on Riverfront Parkway from Aquarium Way to River Terminal Road. Northbound Walnut Street will be closed from 3rd Street. Additional lane closures will be on Frazier Avenue from the Walnut Street Bridge to the Veterans Bridge, and crossing the bridge to Riverfront Parkway.
The Con Nooga Parade will take place from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Market Street, from the Choo Choo to 13th Street, 13 Street from Market Street to Fort Street, and Fort Street from 13th Street to 14th Street will be temporarily closed.
The Black History Month Parade will take place from 1:30-4 p.m. University Street will be closed from 8th Street to Martin Luther King Boulevard. Eastbound Martin Luther King Boulevard will be closed from University Street to Market Street, and northbound Market Street will be closed from ML King Boulevard to 7th Street.
