Harris, Julia Ann Hampton (LaFayette)

Julia Ann Hampton Harris, 77, of Lafayette, Georgia, died on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Erlanger Medical Center.

Mrs. Harris was born May 7, 1937, in Ft. Payne, AL, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillie Pace Hampton.  She was a home maker and was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilford Cameron, second husband, Billy Hayes, third husband, Richard Clifford Harris, son Michael Hayes, brothers, Aaron Hampton, Paul Hampton, sisters, Naomi Johnson, and Lillie Holden.

Survivors include her children, Dennis Cameron, James Hayes, Linda Cameron Hall, Betty Hayes Crouch, Bobbie Hayes Walker, step-children, Rev. Rickey Harris, Pat Smith and Wanda Patterson, sister, Jean Smith, 17 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rickey Harris officiating, with entombment in the Greenhills Memory Garden Mausoleum.  Active pallbearers will be her grandsons.Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Harris will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m.
