Chattanooga’s Live Music Scene – Melissa Etheridge, Sleepy Man, Cole Swindell, Molly Hatchet At Riverbend

The Riverbend Festival announced several additions to the lineup for 2015. Melissa Etheridge will be the Coke Stage featured act in the 9:30 p.m. slot on Wednesday, June 10th. Southern Rock band Molly Hatchet will headline the Bud Stage on Friday, June 12 at 8 p.m. The Unum Stage will host Sleepy Man on opening night, Friday June 5th. Country star Cole Swindell will be the featured act at 6:30 p.m. on the Coke Stage on Friday, June 12.

Melissa Etheridge, a multiple Grammy award winning rock singer, also has an Oscar win, an ACSAP songwriter of the year award, and a Gibson Guitar award for Best Female Rock Guitarist. Dr. Etheridge received an honorary doctorate from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in 2006. Her first six albums all went to Gold or Platinum status in sales. Melissa Etheridge will be featured act in the 9:30 p.m. slot on the Coke Stage for Wednesday, June 10th. Doug E Fresh and Slick Rick will be the featured Coke Stage act at 6:30 p.m.

Sleepy Man took the country by storm with their YouTube videos and appearances on national television, including Late Night with David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel. The three boys, now aged 12, 17, and 18 have been on the Grand Ole Opry, and have appeared at many of the major music festivals in the USA. Sleepy Man will headline the Unum stage on opening night, Friday June 5th. Cole Swindell is a Country music star and songwriter. He has written songs for Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, and Florida-Georgia Line. His first album, released in 2014 went to number 2 on the Billboard Charts. He has already had a Platinum selling record and a Gold selling record. Cole Swindell will be the featured act at 6:30 p.m. on the Coke Stage on Friday, June 12. Gregg Allman will follow at 9:30 p.m.

Southern rock icons Molly Hatchet will rock the Bud Light Stage on Friday, June 12, from 8:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Many of the band’s members, while not from the original band, have been with Molly Hatchet for over 30 years.

Previously announced acts include Merle Haggard, Sam Hunt, Hunter Hayes, Martina McBride, Leon Russell, Matthew West, Little River Band, and Gregg Allman Band, Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick, War, 3 Doors Down, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Suzy Bogguss, and Jack Pearson & Jonell Mosser.

Wristbands for the 2015 Riverbend are on sale now for $39 at http://www.riverbendfestival.com/tickets and will be available at area Kangaroo Stores May 1. Those that wait until June 5th to purchase their wristbands will pay $55.00 at the gate.
