Ooltewah Softball Takes Opening Win Over Hixson

Senior Allie Jones hit a grand slam in the fourth inning to close out a 16-4 win for Ooltewah over Hixson at a season-opening softball game.

Cameron Baltimore got the win on the mound for the Lady Owls.

Two freshmen - Tyler Sullivan and Mabry Carpenter - contributed with two-run singles.

Tiera Lemon added a two-run double, and Aubbie Collake had a run-producing double.

Ooltewah takes on a talented Walker Valley team on Tuesday.
