Tommy Jett Book Signing Set For Saturday

  • Wednesday, March 4, 2015

“Hey…Now”!  For over five decades listeners have heard those words booming from their favorite radio personality Tommy Jett with his charming wit and humor; pleasing audiences around the tri-states of Tennessee Georgia and Alabama.

Whether on the air, master of ceremonies at concerts, sock hops and more, Tommy Jett was the man.  He and one of his close, personal friends – Ralph Vaughn – have teamed to write a book about the flamboyant TJ the DJ.  Just released to the public, The Jett Age: Flying with Tommy Jett is a fascinating glance at his colorful life.

The biography includes the struggles to find a purpose, reaching what appears to be a pinnacle, handling success, keeping the common touch, being true to one’s self and staying on a spiritual foundation that appeared unstable at times.

The Jett Age was a period in time when Tommy Jett ruled the airwaves capturing the imagination of listeners as he seemed to be almost bigger than life.  Sunglasses and rings on every finger of his hands were his trademark and persona.

The biography leaves some things to the reader’s imagination; however there is no doubt about the good, the not-so-good and almost everything in between.

Priced at only $20 per copy, Tommy Jett will be available to sign autographed copies at Rick’s Gold & Diamonds, 5301 Brainerd Road, on Saturday, from noon to 3 p.m.
