Doris “Dot” Clark Motley, 74, of LaFayette, GA, died on Sunday, April 12, 2015.
She was brave, sweet and so very loved. She was surrounded by her family and at peace as Heaven drew near. Dot was born to James and Millie Clark on November 06, 1940. She married Robert Motley on May 18, 1955 and they celebrated 55 years of love and life together. Dot loved to garden and to take care of her family. Her pride and Joy was her children and grandchildren. She was best known for her kindness and loving spirit. Dot was saved and baptized as a young girl and loved the Lord with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Motley; her parents, James and Millie Clark; sisters, Betty Clark and Lois Clark Morris; and brothers, James “Sonny” Clark and William “Dub” Clark.
Survivors include her daughters, Pam (Danny) Payne and Tammie (Edwin) Wright; son, Robert “Wesley” Motley; grandchildren, Kelly Jackson Vonlindern, Robert “Daniel” Motley, Thomas James Motley, David Wesley Wright, Casey Jameson Payne, Callie Marie Payne, Christopher Flegal and Nicole Flegal; great-grandchildren, Alexis, T.J., Austin, Brooklynn, Dallas, Emmie Belle, Benjamin, Madison, Parker, Grayson, Chastity, Colin, Terra and Canyon; siblings, Shirley (Ronald) Horne, Juanita (Elroy) Motley, Terri (Robin) Cooper, Ray (Linda) Clark and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel will be Thursday, April 16, at 4:30 p.m. with Pastor Carlos Motley officiating. Interment in the LaFayette Memory Gardens.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, April 15 from 6-9 p.m.
