Walk4Hearing Scheduled For May 9

The 7th annual Walk4Hearing will take place on Saturday, May 9 at Chattanooga State and adjoining Riverpark. This event is free and open to the public even though it is a fundraiser. There is no charge to walk or participate in the activities. There will be free food, activities and fun.
 
Zounds Hearing and Beltone South have each donated a free pair of hearing aids.
With cost of high-technology digital hearing aids in the $3,000-to-$6,000 and above range, two lucky people will win these prizes. Twelve funded sponsorships now total $10,100 and seven in-kind sponsorships are valued at $19,813. 
Hearing loss affects 48 million people. That trickles down to 480,000 in TN and 48,000 in the greater Chattanooga area.
18 teams are registered. Most teams them are from the Chattanooga area, but two of them are from Dalton: League of Women Voters of Dalton and Dalton Business and Professional Women. Two other teams are from Marion County: Susie Q and You and Hear 4 Miles. One team is from Knoxville.
