Donnie Ray Parris, 66 of Trion, GA, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Parris was born July 5, 1948 in Trion, GA. He had been employed with Mount Vernon Mills & Stansell’s Furniture. He was Baptist by faith.  

Mr. Parris was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald “Duck” Parris; a grandson, Jaycee Parris; and parents, Rev. Clyde Cecil Parris and Mary Opal Naves Parris.  

Mr. Parris is survived by his wife, Patricia (Pat) Parris; sons, David Ray Parris and Jason Allen Parris; daughters, Shannon (Sammy) Trammell and Allison (Billy) Tapp; brothers, Cecil Parris and Leon Parris; sisters, Ann Lanier and Frances Busby; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.  

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 18, at 3 p.m. from the Petitt Chapel of Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Norton officiating. Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery.  The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers, Will Lamb, Nathan Dunn, Ladon Trammell, Brandon Parris, Mark Cothran, and Randy Cothran.   

Visitation for Mr. Donnie Ray Parris will be Saturday, April 18, at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m.  

Coffman Funeral Home-Petitt Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
