Traub, Albert Thomas "Tom"
Albert Thomas “Tom” Traub, of Soddy Daisy, died at his home on April 25, 2015.
Tom was originally from Philadelphia, served in the United States Army in overseas deployments, and moved to Chattanooga with the love of his life and wife of 53 years, Joan Fielding Traub, in 1964. He moved to Signal Mountain in 1972. He became a very well respected community figure serving as a self-employed builder and Walden’s Ridge Emergency Service board member.
Tom is survived in by his Wife, Joan Traub, Daughter; Terry Traub Smeltzer; Son, Robert (Jill) Traub, Grandchildren; Lauren Traub, James Thomas (J.T) Smeltzer, and Tyler Traub.
Tom and his family are grateful for the long term support and care provided by all the care givers of Kim Walker’s Care Givers and Avalon Hospice (Dana, Nicole, Morgan, Aaron, Angela, Dustee, Jessica, Marla, Nurse Katie).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, from 5-7 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 30, at 12:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
