Marion Joyce Young Chalmers, 75, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Sunday, May 17, 2015.

A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, Marion was a member of the Ringgold United Methodist Church where she was a member of the F.O.B. Sunday School Class and the U.M.W.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Summerfield and Elizabeth Young; brother, John Young, Jr; and brother-in-law, Troy Carruth.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years Drew Chalmers of Ringgold; three children, Susan Steele (Rick) of Ringgold, Sandra Chalmers of East Ridge, and Scott Chalmers (Anna) of Ringgold; sister, Martha Carruth of Chattanooga; brother, Joe Young (Loraine) of Ringgold; three grandchildren, Cody Chalmers, Allen Steele and Kathryn Wood; two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ben Cathey officiating.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home. Interment will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Ringgold.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Nourishing Children In Catoosa (N.C.I.C.) at Ringgold United Methodist Church or to the Ringgold United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
