A Bi-Lo in Harrison was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after a small fire in the pharmacy.

When the Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department responded to the Bi-Lo at 8634 Greenwood Dr. the evacuation was in progress and there was light smoke visible within the store.

Fire officials reported the fire started in the pharmacy with an electrical short in a power strip which caught fire. Pharmacy employees worked quickly to put the fire out by using a fire extinguisher. No injuries were reported and no damage in the pharmacy area was reported.

Fire officials used fans to ventilate the smoke in the building and had the grocery store back up in full operation within the hour.
