The Westside Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Timothy D. Careathers, will be hosting a “Community Day of Caring” for the Alton Park community on Saturday, June 20.

The goal as a church family is to provide ministry in various ways to the community, by reaching individuals and supplying them with information that is needed in order that they may make good life decisions.

There will be free health screenings, free food and games and door prizes.  Various organizations will be represented, such as Alexian Brothers, Mary Ellen Locher Mammogram Coach, Sound Living Counsel, and more.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of the Westside Missionary Baptist Church at 4001 Hughes Ave. (behind the Bethlehem Center). This event is free to everyone.  Since 1945, Westside Missionary Baptist Church has served this community.
