An officer said 49-year-old James Ford several times offered him $30,000 to "just take him home."

Instead, the officer charged Ford with a host of charges, including bribery of a public servant.

Ford is also charged with sexual battery, false imprisonment, DUI, driving on a revoked license, violating the open container law, and possession of a controlled substance.

Police got involved on Friday when a 30-year-old woman called police and said she was having trouble getting away from Ford.

The woman said after she accepted a ride with Ford he repeatedly touched her inappropriately and said, "Let's have some fun at my house."

She said she repeatedly asked Ford to stop and let her out, but he told her, "Nah, you're going to come to my house so we can chill."

She said Ford eventually stopped his black Corvette when she asked to buy cigarettes and said she would get him some liquor. Instead, she called police from the store on Bonny Oaks Drive.

Police found Ford still parked in the Corvette with a whiskey bottle between his legs. It was two-third full.

Officers said his speech was slurred and he staggered when he tried to walk.

Asked how much he had to drink, he said, "Too much."

Police found that his license was revoked for DUI and he had at least two prior DUI convictions - the latest in January 2013.

Police found a bag with 14.4 grams of marijuana in the Corvette.

The officer said Ford told him he "would be fired tomorrow, guaranteed."

He said he "had a lot of s---" and he would get the officer "everything you want."
