Bryan H. Jackson, of Tunnel Hill and formerly of LaFayette, Georgia, died on Saturday, May 23, 2015.
He was a loyal member of Varnell United Methodist Church and a Veteran of the U.S .Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Pearl(Neely) Jackson; a brother, Walter Earl Jackson; a sister, Velula Jackson Gentry; and nephew, Mikey Day.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Delores (Dee) Jackson of Tunnel Hill; sons, Bryan H. Jackson, Jr. and wife, Letrice of Chickamauga, Len Jackson and wife Tara of Tunnel Hill, David Bryan Jackson and wife Susan of Cohutta; sisters, Delores Grigsby of LaFayette and Bobbie Day of Trion; brother, Billy Jackson and wife Waydean of LaFayette; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 28 at 11 a.m. at the Varnell United Methodist Church with Rev. Stephen Streett and Rev. Tony Jackson officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service time. Burial will be in National Cemetery in Chattanooga.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 27 from 5-9 p.m.
